The Adair County RI School District is currently soliciting bids for the construction of a canopy over an existing walk -in freezer located. The purpose of this canopy is to provide weather protection and ensure safety for staff handling deliveries and operations around the freezer area. Scope of Work The selected contractor will be responsible for the design, permitting, construction, and installation of a canopy structure over the walk-in freezer. The canopy must meet the following criteria: General Requirements Size & Dimensions: The canopy must cover the entire walk-in freezer area, including the freezer's entrance and delivery space. The dimensions of the freezer are 16 X 10. The clearance height should allow for easy movement of delivery trucks and personnel. Materials: The canopy should be constructed of durable, weather-resistant materials (e.g., steel, aluminum, or galvanized metal) that can withstand heavy rain, snow, and extreme temperatures. The roofing material should be corrugated or similar for weatherproofing. Design: The design should be functional, safe, and complement the surrounding school environment. The canopy should have proper drainage and allow for ventilation if necessary. If possible the design should integrate with existing adjacent canopy.
