The project will encompass but not be limited to the following scope of work: installation of approximately 4,300 new 12" PVC-C900 waterline; replacement of service lines, curb stops, and corporation stops and associated valves and fittings; new inter-connections at existing locations; installation of new fire hydrants and associated valves and mechanical fittings, and removal of abandoned fire hydrants as directed by the engineer; restoration of all disturbed areas, including fences, walls, steps, sidewalks, lawns, and replacement of disturbed signs and mailboxes; all roadway/pavement restoration; erosion and sedimentation controls; traffic control during construction. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of not less than 10% of the total amount bid. No bidder may withdraw their proposal within 120 days after the actual date of the opening of the proposals. Attention of bidders is called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. Providing an email address is mandatory when purchasing contract documents, and all addendums, announcements, and correspondence will be sent via email. No interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specifications, or other contract document will be made to any bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing, addressed to the Engineer, and to be given consideration, must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of proposals.
