The City of Saskatoon is seeking a qualified consultant to provide layout options, design services, and construction administration services for the installation of cooling equipment, including proposal presentations at City-lead community engagement sessions. The Civic Water Conservation Spray Pad Climate Adaptation Project aims to provide the public with equitable access to cooling opportunities and drinking water, especially during emergency heat wave periods. The project also supports increased resiliency of the water and wastewater treatment systems by conserving water during peak summer demand. As part of this initiative, cooling equipment will be installed in existing City-identified parks as a pilot project. The work includes installation of various combinations of shade structures, misting stations and water fountains. In total, six (6) sites with multiple shade structures, six (6) misting stations, and six (6) water fountains will be installed across multiple locations.
