Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Saint Peters, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Election Authority Parking Lot :- St. Charles County is seeking bids to repair and replace portions of the concrete curbs and asphalt the Election Authority parking lot located at 397 Turner Blvd., St. Peters, MO 63376. BASE BID - Northwest Parking Lot Improvements (Site Exhibit Preliminary Drawing dated 11/13/25) Red-Outlined Area Widen northwest entrance: remove asphalt/curb/base in grey-shaded area and demo two grass peninsulas. Haul off all debris, fine-grade and compact subgrade. Install new concrete curb along widened areas. Mill existing asphalt 2" deep in remaining red area, sweep clean, apply SS-1H tack coat, pave 2" compacted BP-2 (or SP-2) hot-mix asphalt. Restripe with thermoplastic as shown: all arrows, ADA chevrons/hatching, two stop bars. Install signage on breakaway posts: 5 STOP, 2 DO NOT ENTER, 1 ONE WAY, 15 ADA reserved signs. Install wheel stops at head-in stalls as shown Highlighted Yellow-Outlined Area Remove existing concrete curbs at NW entrance and new island locations. Install new 6" x 18" vertical concrete curb on 4" compacted Type 5 aggregate base. Backfill behind curbs, restore topsoil, seed and straw disturbed grass areas. At NW building corner: form and pour new 5-ft-wide concrete sidewalk with integral flush curb tying into ADA parking stalls. BID ALTERNATE 1 - Southwest Parking Lot Improvements Blue-Outlined Area Perform the complete Base Bid scope described above (all red and yellow work items) within the blue-outlined limits. Provide separate lump-sum additive price. All Areas - Included in Base Bid & Alternate 1 Traffic control, pedestrian protection, erosion control, utility protection, cleanup, and restoration. BID ALTERNATE 2 - Loading Dock Improvements (Area of Work shown outlined in Green) Demo existing exterior concrete stairs, including stringers, treads, risers, landings, and all associated footings/foundations in their entirety. Remove and legally off-site and dispose of all demolition debris. Sawcut and remove any existing asphalt or concrete pavement as required to accommodate the new retaining wall, stairs, and regrading work. Form and pour new reinforced cast-in-place concrete stairs to replace the existing stairs. Provide and install continuous steel pipe handrails on both sides of the stairs Handrails shall be primed and painted (color to be selected by Owner). Finish treads with medium broom finish for slip resistance. Install new concrete landing at top and bottom of stairs as shown. Construct new cast-in-place reinforced concrete retaining wall as shown on the drawings to support the new stairs and accommodate the existing elevation change. Remove and replace asphalt pavement as necessary to achieve the required grades and cross-slopes. Restripe any affected pavement markings to match existing layout. Repair and patch spalled, cracked, or damaged areas at the ends of the existing concrete loading dock walls. Sawcut perimeter of repair areas to a minimum depth of 1-1/2", remove loose and unsound concrete, clean exposed rebar, apply bonding agent, and patch with Ownerapproved polymer-modified repair mortar or structural concrete patch material. Match existing surface texture and finish. BID ALTERNATE 3 - Southwest Pavement Maintenance (Area outlined in Blue on Site Exhibit Preliminary Drawing dated 11/13/25) Clean and prepare all transverse and longitudinal pavement cracks; remove all debris, vegetation, and loose material. Fill all prepared cracks with Seal Master or equivalent hot-pour pavement crack and joint sealant that meets ASTM Specification 3405. The pavement sealer should include a Latex Modifier and contain 3-6 pounds of sand per gallon. Apply two (2) coats of commercial-grade refined tar or asphalt emulsion sealer over the entire, blue-outlined area: o 1st coat by squeegee o 2nd coat by spray Restripe the entire blue area with thermoplastic markings as shown on the 11/13/25 drawing. Contractor shall include traffic control, protection of curbs/sidewalks, drying time/barricading, and final cleanup. St. Charles County has the right to accept and/or reject any and all bids.
