Renovation of an educational facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Project will include the complete replacement of four air-cooled chillers at Buildings SB, SD, SL on the Southern Wake Campus and at Building HB on the Perry Health Sciences Campus. Project will include necessary demolition of existing and installation of new chillers, flow metering, controls, master system integration and electrical systems to support the project. This project will be as follows: A. Building HB, Perry Health Center Campus, Alternate #1. Existing chiller CH-2 will be replaced with a new 130-ton (nominal) air cooled chiller and connected into exiting chilled water supply and return lines in the mechanical yard, providing new valves at point of connection new to existing. A flow meter will also be installed on the domestic water line to measure the building’s total domestic water flow. Controls shall be by Distech only. B. Building SB, South Campus, Base Bid. Existing chiller CH-2 will be replaced with a new 180-ton (nominal) air cooled chiller and connected into exiting chilled water supply and return lines in the mechanical yard, providing new valves at point of connection new to existing, with associated controls and master system integration. Project will also include the installation of temperature sensors and flow meter for a new BTU metering system. Flow meters will also be installed on the domestic water lines at two locations to measure the building's total domestic water flow. Controls shall be by Distech or JCI FX. C. Building SD, South Campus, Alternate #2. Existing chiller CH-1 will be replaced with a new 200-ton (nominal) air cooled chiller and connected into exiting chilled water supply and return lines in the mechanical yard, providing new valves at point of connection new to existing. The existing primary chilled water pump located at the chiller is to be replaced and will include a backup pump of equal size. A flow meter will also be installed on the domestic water line to measure the building's total domestic water flow. Controls shall be by Distech only. D. Building SL, South Campus, Base Bid. Existing chiller CH-1 will be replaced with a new 200-ton (nominal) air cooled chiller and connected into exiting chilled water supply and return lines in the mechanical yard, providing new valves at point of connection new to existing. Project will also include the installation of temperature sensors and flow meters for two (2) new BTU metering systems (one serving Building SK and one serving Building SL). A Flow meter will also be installed on the domestic water line to measure the building’s total domestic water flow. And existing KW demand meter located in the transformer serving Building SL will be connected and integrated into the BAS as well as the connection and integration of the existing KW demand meter located in the Emergency Power Panel "E". Controls shall be by Distech or JCI FX. E. Electrical shall consist of all necessary demolition and new connections to support chiller, pumps, control replacements, and utility monitoring. F. Master Systems Integrator (Div. 25) shall be engaged by the BAS contractor.
