Renovation of an educational facility in San Jacinto, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 35,107-square-foot, three-story above grade educational facility.

1. General Scope The Cleaning Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, lifts, materials, cleaning products, and disposal necessary to perform the interim/rough cleaning and final cleaning of the buildings and site for each phase of the project. Work shall be completed in accordance with all manufacturer requirements, warranty requirements, and safety requirements. 2. Phase Each Phase shall be considered an independent scope of work with its own interim/rough cleans and final clean, regardless of whether other phases are ongoing, adjacent areas remain occupied, or follow-on construction activities occur. Final cleaning for a given phase shall not relieve the Cleaning Contractor of responsibility for subsequent cleaning impacts caused by that phase's work. 3. Interim / Rough Clean The Cleaning Contractor shall perform two (2) rough cleanings per phase, at the times and in the areas directed by the Construction Manager, before the final clean. Each rough clean shall include Removal and collection of all loose debris, trash, cardboard, tape backing, masking, and packaging from floors, horizontal surfaces, and work areas. Wipe down horizontal surfaces to remove construction dust. Sweeping, vacuuming, or dry-mopping of floors to keep areas broom-clean and safe. Exterior walk, hardscape, and paved area sweep-down or hose-down as allowed. Keeping entries, paths of travel, and common areas clear and presentable so other trades and District staff can access. Rough cleanings may be required in partial areas, multiple buildings, or repeated locations within a phase as construction sequencing dictates, at no additional cost. Bids are being solicited for the San Jacinto High School Modernization Project. Work scopes include, but are not limited to, general construction, selective demolition, concrete, masonry, metal fabrication, carpentry, roofing and skylights, casework, doors, hardware, glazing, lath, plaster, drywall, tiling, flooring, acoustical ceilings, painting, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm and suppression, telecommunications, security systems, irrigation, planting, asphalt paving, and site furnishings. The scope for each category references relevant California contractor license classifications. All bids must be submitted online via Colbi Secure Bids using the District's forms, and each bid must strictly conform and be responsive to the Contract Documents. Bidders must provide bid security of no less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the bid. Separate payment and performance bonds, each for 100% of the contract amount, executed by a California-admitted surety, are required. All contractors and subcontractors must comply with prevailing wage laws and other applicable legal requirements. Bidders must list designated subcontractors as required by the Subletting and Subcontracting Fair Practices Act. Securities may be substituted for retention withheld by the District as performance security. Requests for product substitutions must be submitted with the bid using the District's forms. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive irregularities or informalities. No bids may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days following the bid opening. Failure to attend the non-mandatory pre-bid conference will result in the bid being returned unopened. Each bidder and its subcontractors must be properly licensed for the work at the time of bid and throughout the contract period. Each bidder must comply with all requirements set forth in the bid invitation and contract documents. No telephone or facsimile machine will be available to bidders on District premises. Late bids will be returned unopened. Pre-qualification requirements: All prospective bidders and subcontractors must complete the District's Pre-Qualification process in accordance with California Public Contract Code Section 20111.5. Prequalification documents must be submitted on forms provided by the District via the Quality Bidders website no later than ten business days before the bid opening. Prequalification is mandatory for all contractors and for all MEP subcontractors holding A, B, C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, or C-46 licenses, regardless of whether their portion of work requires those classifications. Contractors and MEP subcontractors must be prequalified before being listed in any bid. Bids will not be accepted from Trade Contractors who have not been prequalified when required.
