Award February 4, 2026 estimated Projected Start Date February 10, 2026 estimated Projected End Date May 1, 2026 estimated Mesa County Valley School District 51, herein after referred to as the District, will receive bids for furnishing and installation of fire sprinkler(s) in seven (7) different Opportunity Rooms located at Nisley Elementary, Chipeta Elementary, Orchard Avenue Elementary, Fruitvale Elementary, Chatfield Elementary, Taylor Elementary and Summit School, in accordance with the Statement of Work and Specifications on or before 2:00 P.M. MST January 29, 2026. Scope of Work includes everything necessary for providing and installing fire sprinkler(s) in the seven (7) Opportunity Rooms as shown on drawings Nisley A1, Chipeta A04, Orchard Avenue A-404, Fruitvale A02, Chatfield A01, Taylor A-406 and Summit A03. It is the Owner's intent that the Contractor's scope of work will provide a complete and fully operational fire sprinkler system in the seven (7) Opportunity Rooms. The contractor will be responsible for all shop drawings, permits, fees, labor, materials, equipment and other services necessary to install the fire sprinkler system as described and shown on drawings. Contractor may visit the sites and is responsible for determining exact measurements, quantities and difficulties of the work. Contact the Technical Representative to set up site visit. Contractor shall isolate work areas and protect occupants and equipment in surrounding areas from construction debris and dust. Contractor shall patch and paint all surfaces damaged by their work. Contractor shall replace all ceiling tiles damaged by their work with new matching tile. Colors and textures of repairs shall match existing surfaces. Contractor shall be responsible for all costs associated with repair or replacement of damaged items. Installation of the new fire sprinklers can begin on February 10, 2026 and shall be complete and operational no later than May 1, 2026. Work shall be performed during normal business hours; the District is not responsible for overtime or holiday time pay. All required peripheral work, including the removal of the existing system and new installation will be priced in the proposal and will be procured and managed by the contractor. Contractor shall remove and dispose of any excess materials during the project. Contractor shall not use the sites dumpsters for disposal of waste. The contractor will be responsible for supplying man lifts, floor protection if applicable and daily cleanup. To achieve final acceptance, the contractor will have provided full installation of all components, tested and verified a fully functional system, training for programming, daily use, troubleshooting and periodic maintenance requirements, turned over as-built drawings of the project as well as all Owner's manuals and warranty documents. Contractor shall coordinate with Owner to develop a schedule for making work areas available and to minimize disruption of building activities. Contractor will see that all such employees are screened against the registered sexual offenders' lists maintained by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (see http://www.sor.state.co.us/sxoregistration.asp), based on their current place of residence.
