Renovation of a mixed-use development in Laramie, Wyoming. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Sealed bids are requested for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, appliances, transportation, and services necessary for the conversion of Beitel Elementary School to Central Administration with a focus on painting. Bids must be furnished on specified forms and submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked with the project title and bidder's information. The district reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities. Preference is given to certified resident contractors and to materials, supplies, equipment, machinery, and provisions produced, manufactured, supplied, or grown in Wyoming, quality being equal to those offered by competitors outside the state. Painting Specifications for Classrooms and Offices Workmanship: 1. All work shall be completed according to accepted industry and architectural standards. 2. Contractor is responsible for protecting areas of the project that are not being painted including, but not limited to, floors, ceilings, casework, fixtures, hardware, and windows. 3. Contractor is responsible for cleaning of project areas following completion of the Work. Concrete Block Surfaces: 1. Surface Preparation - Clean, repair, fill, and sand as required for a smooth finish. Caulk cracks. Caulk electrical conduit to walls. 2. Prime - Apply one (1) coat of Sherwin-Williams Prep Rite Block Filler on bare block. 3. Prime - Apply One (1) coat of Sherwin-Williams Extreme Bond Primer on glazed block and FRP panels. 4. Finish - Apply two (2) coats of Sherwin-Williams Industrial Pre-Cat Epoxy in egshel sheen. Existing Drywall Surfaces: 1. Preparation - Repair, fill and sand as required for a smooth finish. Caulk cracks. Caulk electrical conduit to walls. 2. Prime - Apply one (1) coat of Sherwin-Williams Promar 200 primer to drywall patches. 3. Finish - Apply two (2) coats of Sherwin-Williams Industrial Pre-Cat Epoxy in egshel sheen. New Drywall Surfaces: 1. Prime - Apply one (1) coat of Sherwin Williams ProMar 200 Primer to new, textured drywall. 2. Finish - Apply two (2) coats of Sherwin-Williams Industrial Pre-Cat Epoxy in egshel sheen. Metal Door Jams and Wood Door Slabs: 1. Surface Preparation - Sand metal jams with 150 Grit sand paper; Scuff Sand wood door slabs with 180 grit sandpaper. Fill holes and gouges with Bondo filler. 2. Prime - Apply one (1) coat of Sherwin Williams Extreme Bond Primer on wood door slabs and metal door jambs. 3. Finish - Apply two (2) coats of Sherwin-Williams Pro Industrial Water Based Alkyd Urethane to door slabs and metal jambs. Metal Heater Covers and Shelves: 1. Surface Preparation - Sand with 150 grit sand paper. 2. Prime - Apply one (1) coat of Sherwin Williams Pro-Cryl Metal Primer. 3. Finish - Apply two (2) coats of Sherwin-Williams Pro Industrial Water Based Alkyd Urethane. Color Schedule: 1. Corridors and Halls - Shoji White SW 7042. 2. Offices (former classrooms) - Accessible Beige SW 7036. 3. All other Rooms - Accessible Beige SW 7036. 4. Standing and Running Trim and Metal Door Jambs - Naval SW 6244. 5. Doors - Shoji White SW 7042. Project Notes: 1. Rooms 106, 107, 114, 122, 123., 126, and 127 shall be scheduled for painting once other work to partition off the rooms into two separate spaces is completed. The new separation walls will consist of wood frame floor to ceiling, with textured drywall and one pre-hung access door. 2. Rooms 199A and 119B are being converted to an ADA Family Bathroom. Painting in those rooms will need to be completed in conjunction with that separate work project. 3. Rooms 101, 102, 132, 133, and 134 are excluded from this project. 4. The gymnasium (Room 104) is excluded from this project.
