Questions must be received before 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026, Project No. 250028.00 The work includes the demolition of designated buildings or portions thereof, installation of both owner-furnished and contractor-furnished new central kitchen equipment, and new site and construction work required to renovate the existing 2-story building and site for School Day Café, 25210 Anza Drive, Santa Clarita, California, in accordance with the Contract Documents and Code requirements. Bids must be electronically submitted and must conform and be responsive to all documents comprising the contract documents. All forms must be completed, signed, and returned with the bid. No bid may be withdrawn for one hundred twenty (120) calendar days after the bid receipt date. The successful bidder will file a payment bond with an admitted Surety and a performance bond. This is a public works project and is subject to prevailing wage requirements. All labor and subcontractors must comply with applicable Labor Code provisions, including payment of prevailing rates, employment of apprentices, hours of labor, and debarment regulations. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Disabled Veteran Contractors are encouraged to submit bids. The project is subject to Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise requirements. The Agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids, accept or reject any one or more items of a bid, or waive irregularities or informalities in the bid or bidding process. Pre-qualification requirements: Each bidder must be a Department of Industrial Relations registered contractor pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5, unless an exception applies. Bidders and all subcontractors must be DIR Registered Contractors during the work. Prequalification pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.6 is required. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and licensed in the following classifications: B, General Building. No bid will be accepted from a contractor who is not licensed in accordance with the California Business and Profession Code at the time the bid is submitted.
