Description

Renovation of a library in Ottawa, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.

The project consists of HVAC controls. All bids shall be based on drawings and the project manual prepared by Vissering Construction Company. Bidders must submit their bids in a sealed envelope, clearly labeled with 'SEALED BID - Reddick Public Library HVAC Control Work,' and provide three copies of the bid form. Each bid must include a cashier's check or bid bond for 5% of the total bid amount, including alternates, as well as contractor and subcontractor qualification statements. The AIA A305 Contractor's Qualification Statement must be completed and submitted with the bid form. Bidders must certify compliance with Illinois statutes governing prevailing wage, tax exemptions, drug-free workplace, equal opportunity employment, and sexual harassment. Bidders must also certify that they are not barred from bidding or entering into the contract due to violations related to bid rigging or bid rotating. No bid may be withdrawn or modified after the deadline until action is taken by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, and award the contract in their best interest.
