Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Albion, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.
The work consists of full roadway reconstruction and utility upgrades on Albion Street, including HMA removal and replacement, curb and gutter, water main replacement, water services, sanitary sewer replacement, storm sewer replacement, sidewalk improvements, driveway approaches, signage, pavement markings, restoration, and various appurtenances. Bidders must submit a certified check or bank draft from a Michigan bank or a satisfactory bid bond equal to 5 percent of their bid. Successful bidders are required to provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond for 100 percent of the contract price. This project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act requirements, and all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used must be produced in the United States. The use of local contractors and labor is encouraged. If any person contemplating submitting a bid for this Contract is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the plans, specifications, or other proposed Contract Documents, he may submit to the OWNER a written request for an interpretation thereof. The person submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery
