Lincoln Land Community College invites qualified asbestos abatement contractors to submit sealed bids to furnish all labor and material to complete requirements for asbestos abatement of Sangamon Hall. All contractors and subcontractors must demonstrate experience on projects of similar size and type and must be pre-qualified with the Capital Development Board for a minimum of 45 days. All contracts are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and the Drug Free Workplace Act. Bids must be delivered in a sealed format and will not be accepted by fax or email. Bids received after the stated deadline will not be considered. Contractors who have submitted a bid may attend the bid opening. Any questions regarding the invitation to bid must be submitted in writing to Farmer Environmental Services, LLC by the specified date. Additional questions regarding the bid documents will be addressed at a mandatory pre-bid meeting/site visit for contractors. Contractors should have any subcontractors present at the pre-bid meeting who may wish to view the site. Only formal addenda resulting from written or meeting-submitted questions will be considered part of the bid documents. Bid documents will be available from Farmer Environmental Services, LLC to qualified contractors. A bid deposit amounting to 5% of the bid must be furnished in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond, made payable to Lincoln Land Community College. The College reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities, or permit timely correction of minor deficiencies, and will make awards in the interest of the College and based on bid evaluation.
