The work includes providing design-build engineering services for general building and facility needs across the district, which may involve planning, renovation, addition, and new construction projects as identified by the district. Services may include facility assessments and planning support, engineering analysis and system design, preparation of construction documents, coordination with architects, contractors, and other consultants, permitting and regulatory approvals support, phased or incremental engineering services as required, and construction administration and field observations as required. Services may involve civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing engineering depending on the project needs. Bidders are instructed to submit a single PDF (maximum 3-4 pages) that includes a firm overview, descriptions of 2-3 comparable design-build or integrated delivery projects (preferably in educational facilities, particularly K-12), identification of key personnel and their roles, a brief description of the firm's design-build/collaborative approach, and confirmation of active professional engineering licensure and ability to meet standard insurance requirements. Submissions will be evaluated based on design-build or collaborative project experience, experience with educational facilities, qualifications of proposed personnel, and responsiveness and availability.
