Site work for a water / sewer project in Somers, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed proposals are invited for the construction of the 12th Street Water Main Extension. The work consists of 7,165 linear feet of open cut water main installation, with sizes primarily being 12-inch but ranging from 6-inch through 20-inch; 1,045 linear feet of water main installed by horizontal directional drilling, primarily 12-inch but ranging from 8-inch through 16-inch; 140 linear feet of 12-inch water main in a 24-inch casing to be installed by jack and bore under a railroad; slurry backfill and pavement restoration within a county highway; and other miscellaneous items of work. Bidders must comply with the "Contractor Qualification Ordinance of the Village of Somers," requiring prequalification prior to obtaining bidding documents or submitting bids. All bids must be accompanied by a bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check, or bank draft for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. Award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder unless bids are rejected for good cause.
