The purpose is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract for household hazardous waste (HHW) collection services for the Buckman Road Recycling and Transfer Station (BuRRT) in Santa Fe, NM. The Contractor will support operations at the HHW collection center, including materials receiving, waste identification, packing, storage, transportation, recycling, treatment, and disposal. The Agency operates the HHW collection center two days per week but may adjust operating days as needed. Services extend to Very Small Quantity Generators (VSQGs), with tasks such as reviewing waste profile sheets, packaging unknown or unusual wastes, and transporting VSQG waste to treatment, storage, or disposal facilities. The Contractor may also assist in Agency staff training and must schedule regular pickups of accumulated waste for offsite processing. The Contractor will honor all orders placed by authorized entities, adhering to applicable laws, regulations, and procurement requirements. The Agency is responsible for handling waste at the site, with limited storage capacity and regular shipments every 4 to 8 weeks. The scope includes support for annual collection events and possible increases or decreases in hours and operational days as needed by the Agency or City/County residents.
