The Corporation of the Township of Brock is seeking qualified and experienced contractors to complete repairs on existing dock structures at Thorah Island Harbour, Lake Simcoe, Ontario. The Contractor shall supply all labour, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to complete the work in accordance with specifications, drawings, and all applicable codes and standards. Work includes: - Site preparation and mobilization (review dock conditions, deliver equipment and materials, implement safety and environmental measures, provide schedule) - Removal and disposal of damaged/deteriorated dock sections on north east and south east piers only, in accordance with environmental and waste management regulations - Repair or reinforcement of existing dock structures (framing and decking), replacement of fasteners, cleats, bumpers, and mooring hardware, and structural improvements - Environmental protection (best practices to prevent debris, compliance with regulatory requirements, restoration of disturbed shoreline/harbour areas) - Testing, inspection, and commissioning (final inspection with Township representative, as-built documentation, warranty for new materials/equipment) - Site restoration (removal of debris and temporary facilities, restore areas to original condition, ensure site is clean and safe) Bidders must use Township Tender Forms, submit all pricing on a Schedule of Prices, and provide all required documentation, including insurance certificates, bonding, and health and safety policies. All moving and start-up costs are to be included in the unit price bid. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to award the Contract to other than the lowest bidder. All work must be approved by a representative of the Township prior to payment. The bid submission must include a completed Form of Tender, Pricing Schedule, Abilities and Experience Form, Contractor Compliance Form, and a list of preferred wood species and sizings. The contractor must meet all health and safety, insurance, and accessibility legislation and policies, and references for similar projects must be provided.
