Specific tasks include disconnecting, demolishing, removing, and disposing of the existing tank in accordance with all applicable regulations; furnishing and installing a new storage tank matching the existing one in size, configuration, orientation, material, and connection locations as much as practicable; ensuring suitability for sodium hypochlorite service; installing the new tank on the existing concrete tank pad; reconnecting all necessary piping; installing a new expansion joint; replacing gaskets, fasteners, and minor piping components as needed; ensuring chemical compatibility of all materials; performing leak and system testing; preparing the system for service; and coordinating startup and full operational service with facility personnel.
