Renovation of an educational facility in Haslett, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of February 06, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The project includes the replacement of the existing makeup air unit and associated accessories, associated supply and exhaust ductwork, and associated kitchen hoods. The new unit will be a gas-fired make-up air unit with Dx piping to serve the kitchen, installed on the roof. New hoods will be installed for the kitchen equipment with dedicated roof exhaust fans for each hood. The mechanical supply ductwork serving the kitchen will be modified. A dishwasher will be added to the kitchen with its own dedicated hood and associated exhaust fan. Plumbing will be modified for the new dishwasher to be installed. All work shall be in accordance with the original drawings and specifications, except as specifically noted in the modifications. Incidental items required to provide the specified modifications are to be included even if not specifically described. Bidders must note receipt of the addendum on the proposal form. Bid documents will be available for access electronically or may be sent via email upon request. Bidders must submit mailed or hand-delivered paper copies of signed proposals. Faxed bids will not be accepted. Bid bonds (5%), performance bonds (100%), and labor and material bonds (100%) are required. The contractor is responsible for visiting the site to become familiar with the existing conditions and the owner's requirements for access and continued operations during construction. The contractor must verify plan, detail dimensions, and elevations relative to the existing structure and make approved adjustments before construction or ordering of material. Structural steel shop drawings must be submitted prior to fabrication, allowing two weeks for engineer review. Temporary bracing for stability and to resist lateral loads during erection must be provided. All demolition, shoring, and erection procedures, designs, and details are to be submitted for review as required. Note : Modified date for Pre-Bid Meeting to 1/20/26 @3:00.
