The work consists of milling and overlaying various streets in Meridian Hills, as well as full depth patching and striping. All bids and proposals must be properly and completely executed on the provided proposal forms, including a non-collusion affidavit. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope labeled with the project number and must include a bid bond or certified check for no less than ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. A one hundred percent (100%) performance and payment bond is required of the successful bidder. Bidders are responsible for obtaining complete sets of drawings and contract documents and are responsible for any errors or omissions resulting from incomplete documents. Digital copies of documents are free, and hard copies are available for a nonrefundable fee. Bidders may not withdraw bids for thirty (30) days following the bid deadline. The Town of Meridian Hills reserves the right to reject or cancel any or all bids, solicitations, or offers in whole or in part as determined to be in the best interests of the governmental body. It is intended for the Contractor to furnish and install all materials and equipment and perform all labor throughout the entire project as set forth in the Specifications for the 2026 Street Maintenance Project. The work shall include, but not necessarily be limited to asphalt milling, HMA patching, HMA surfacing, striping, restoration and all of the work required to achieve the improvements as indicated in the construction documents herein. The work shall be performed at various locations within the Town of Meridian Hills as designated in the field by the Engineer and as described herein. As all ITEMIZED PROPOSAL estimated quantities are cumulative for the various locations, a breakdown by the following locations is included at the end of Section 1. All work herein is expected to be completed by the completion dates outlined herein unless approved otherwise and weather dependent. Location 1 -Illinois Street - School Entrance to End This work involves milling 1-1/2 inches of asphalt pavement and resurfacing with 165 lb/syd HMA, as well as any necessary full depth patching. This work will involve milling and resurfacing approximately 2946 square yards of roadway. Milling will be measured and paid for by the square yard of roadway completed and accepted, and HMA surface will be measured and paid for by the ton of roadway completed and accepted. Pavement markings will be paid for by the lineal foot of the specific marking placed and accepted. Location 2 - 73 rd Street - Pennsylvania Street to Pennridge Drive This work involves milling 1-1/2 inches of asphalt pavement and resurfacing with 165 lb/syd HMA, as well as any necessary full depth patching. This work will involve milling and resurfacing approximately 3262 square yards of roadway. Milling will be measured and paid for by the square yard of roadway completed and accepted, and HMA surface will be measured and paid for by the ton of roadway completed and accepted. Pavement markings will be paid for by the lineal foot of the specific marking placed and accepted. Location 3 -Pennridge Drive - Pennsylvania Street to End This work involves milling 1-1/2 inches of asphalt pavement and resurfacing with 165 lb/syd HMA, as well as any necessary full depth patching. This work will involve milling and resurfacing approximately 1219 square yards of roadway. Milling will be measured and paid for by the square yard of roadway completed and accepted, and HMA surface will be measured and paid for by the ton of roadway completed and accepted. Pavement markings will be paid for by the lineal foot of the specific marking placed and accepted. Location 4 - Washington Boulevard - 7277 N Washington Boulevard to End This work involves milling 1-1/2 inches of asphalt pavement and resurfacing with 165 lb/syd HMA, as well as any necessary full depth patching. This work will involve milling and resurfacing approximately 2365 square yards of roadway.
