Renovation of an educational facility in Oak Forest, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project consists of the replacement of selected interior doors and the installation of door access system card readers at the Braun Educational Center Building. Proposals must be received in duplicate. The competency and responsibility of bidders will be considered in making awards. The successful bidder, upon acceptance of their bid, is required to procure and pay for a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the bid. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified check, or cashier's check in an amount not less than ten percent of the base bid must be submitted with the bid. All contracts are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in any bid when deemed in the Owner's best interests. Plans and specifications can be viewed and downloaded from the BuildingConnected website after requesting access from Wight & Company. Attendance at a pre-bid meeting is highly encouraged and access to the building outside the scheduled walkthrough requires approval from SWCCCASE.
