Site work for a water / sewer project in Salt Springs, Nova Scotia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The purpose is to identify qualified service providers to assist with implementing water metering improvements to ensure all MOPC water accounts are metered and readable via radio or other wireless devices. Quotes for drive-by radio-read options are required from all bidders, but alternative proposals such as AMI, cellular technologies, and other options will also be considered. All key project requirements must be met for any option proposed. Implement water metering upgrades to ensure all water accounts are metered and readable via radio or other wireless technologies. Supply and installation of new meters and communication devices, upgrades to malfunctioning meters, provision of AMR (drive-by) and optional AMI or cellular solutions, communication compatibility with municipal billing software, cut-ins for new 97 unmetered accounts, inspection and possible replacement of 145 malfunctioning meters, equipping of all master meters with communication devices, provision for up to 200 new accounts, training, onboarding, project management, emergency service response, warranty, and ongoing support after completion. 400 new meters, 800 communication devices, 100 cut-ins.
