Site work for a mixed-use development in Marina, California. Completed plans call for site work for a recreation facility; and swimming pool.
The proposed Marina Sports and Aquatic Center will transform the former Fort Ord site at 2nd Avenue and 9th Street into a vibrant, multi-purpose facility that serves as the heart of community recreation. Designed to meet the needs of all ages and abilities, the center will feature an indoor competition pool, recreation pool, gymnasium with multi-sport surface, and multiple fitness spaces to support year-round fitness and wellness programs. A two-story connector building will link the renovated structures and include spaces for group classes, community gatherings, and youth activities. The design also incorporates an elevated cardio mezzanine and a commercial kitchen to support events and instructional programs. Together, these elements will provide a modern, inclusive destination that promotes health, connection, and active living in Marina. The City of Marina ("City") is requesting submission of Proposals (together, "Response(s)") from firms, partnerships, corporations, associations, persons, or professional organizations qualified to be a Construction Manager at Risk ("CMAR(s)") to perform construction management and delivery services, including preparation and coordination of bid packages, scheduling, cost control, value engineering, evaluation, preconstruction services, and construction administration, in connection with the Marina Sports and Aquatic Center("Project," as further described in Attachment No. 2) pursuant to a construction manager at risk contract for a guaranteed project cost, as provided by the City of Marina City Charter Section 2.05 and City Municipal Code Section 3.16. Responses must include the CMAR Qualifications Questionnaire attached hereto as Attachment No. 1 and provide responses to all questions in this RFP. All individuals, partnerships, joint ventures, corporations, or other recognized legal entities, that are appropriately licensed in California may submit a Response. Entities that intend to submit a Response must: Be insured Hold a Class B Contractors License, which is current, valid, and in good standing with the California Contractors State License Board Be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations. If the City issues addenda to this RFP, Entities are solely responsible for and must acknowledge receipt of addenda in the Entity's Response. Failure to acknowledge and respond to any addenda issued by the City may, in the City's sole discretion, render the Entity's Response to be deemed non- responsive and may be rejected. The City has set the following RFP Schedule. All Entities must adhere to this RFP Schedule. The City will issue an addendum if the RFP Schedule is to be modified.
