Site work for a water / sewer project in Owensboro, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Owensboro Municipal Utilities is requesting bids for labor and equipment only for the installation of 18-inch ductile conduit by jack & bore for a 12-inch PVC water main. The scope includes boring under one section of CSX railroad along the north side of Rinaldo Road, with approximately 120 feet of total boring length. The contractor is responsible for installing end seals, poly casing spacers, rough dress-up of the site upon completion, installing a copper tracer wire, and testing the section. OMU will conduct a pressure test for 2 hours at 100 PSI, fill the pipe with water during the test, and the contractor must repair any leaks found during the test. The contractor is not responsible for right of way, easements, or permits, but must bore pipe within a marked 10-foot easement. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid meeting and job site visit is required to be eligible to submit a bid. OMU reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities.
