Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The proposed Mount Horeb Recreation Complex was designed through a process of gathering community input to meet the present and future recreation needs of the Village's youth and adults alike. We identified the need for additional active park space including baseball, softball, soccer and football fields and a basketball court. The complex includes shelters that include restroom and concession facilities that can be reserved for reunions or events when not in use for ballgames, smaller shelters so spectators can get out of the sun, and sheds for additional storage. One main play structure is included just off the main parking lot as well as additional play nooks built into the switchback areas in the walking paths on the site, taking advantage of the natural sloping topography to add a cool play feature. The plan includes more passive uses such as walking trails that circle the park and also provide connections to the existing and future neighborhoods as well as the nearby Military Ridge Bike Trial. As of January 21, 2026, further information regarding a design firm and timeline for construction has not yet been established.
