The work includes, but is not limited to, the removal and upgrading of existing house, orchestra shell, and cyclorama lighting and associated lighting controls. Lump sum bid proposals are to be received. Bid security in the form of a bid bond equal to 10% of the aggregate of the Base Bid amount and all Alternate Bid amounts must be submitted. Performance, Labor, and Material Payment Bonds, and a Certificate of Insurance are required from the successful bidder. Bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages and statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws. There is a 5% aspirational goal on the contract as part of the Business Enterprise Program: Participation and Utilization Plan developed by Harper College. The bidding documents are on file at the office of DLR Group - Chicago, and interested bidders may obtain copies upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit.
