Site work for a water / sewer project in Knoxville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
A. The Work includes, but is not limited to, providing preparation of surfaces, abrasive blasting, providing modifications and repairs, and coating of all interior and exterior surfaces for a 1,000,000-gallon (nominal) steel ground storage tank located on Ronald Drive in Strawberry Plains, TN. B. Records indicate that the tank was erected in 1999 by the Fischer Tank Company. General dimensions of the tank are as follows: 1. Nominal Diameter: 52-0 2. Nominal Height: 64-0 C. Laboratory analysis of an exterior paint chip revealed a lead content of 24 ppm. A copy of the laboratory analysis testing report is provided in Appendix A. Prospective bidders should take samples and verify lead contents. No additional costs will be awarded based on Contractor's lead content findings prior to or after bid award.
