This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Leduc, Alberta. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.
The successful proponent will provide clinical oversight to the Mental Health initiatives within Leduc Fire Services. This role is not intended to serve as the treating psychologist for all employees, but employees may choose to engage the Mental Health and Wellness Clinical Coordinator as their treating psychologist through City benefits or independently. The successful proponent will deliver mental health and wellness program services focused on sustaining and enhancing first responder well-being, while supporting the early identification and mitigation of mental health risks. Key responsibilities include: conducting or arranging annual psychological wellness check-ins with staff, building awareness of the clinical support role, providing clinical support following critical incidents, collaborating on mental health education initiatives, serving as clinical director for the Peer Support Team, delivering or arranging training for Peer Support Team members, monitoring team members for stress and burnout, attending Peer Support Team meetings, and supporting stay-at-work and return-to-work outcomes in collaboration with the City’s Total Wellness Coordinator and Fire Services. Services will average 10 hours per month, include both in-person and remote delivery, and require schedule flexibility with short-notice response to serious incidents. The successful proponent will work collaboratively with City staff including the Total Wellness Coordinator and Fire Services Leadership Team. The initial contract term is three years with the option to extend for an additional three years by mutual agreement. Proposals must be submitted electronically through the City's bidding system. Only one proposal may be submitted by each proponent. Proposals must include all required information, relevant pricing, and be divided into sections: Executive Summary, Proposal Narrative, Proponent/Project Team Qualifications, Proponent/Project Team References, Methodology, Fee Proposal, and Other Pertinent Information. Proponents must be registered in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists, have demonstrated experience with emergency services personnel, expertise in trauma-informed practice, knowledge in peer support program development, professional liability insurance, WCB coverage, and the ability to obtain and maintain police and vulnerable sector background checks. Submission of a proposal constitutes acknowledgement and agreement to the terms and conditions of the RFP. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, to negotiate the specific contractual terms, and is not bound to accept the lowest priced or any proposal.
