Construction of a public drop off (PDO) facility at the Leduc & District Landfill located east of Leduc, Alberta. The construction of the PDO facility will generally consist of supply and installation of a scale facility, office structure, elevated bin wall structure, road work, and storm water works. The work is located approximately 4 km east of the City of Leduc, Alberta in the landfill's West Expansion Area, at the legal location NW 1/4 Section 29, Township 49, Range 24, West of the Fourth Meridian. The work generally involves, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: Mobilization and demobilization including transporting equipment to and from site, constructing and reclaiming any haul roads required during construction, obtaining permits, erecting temporary facilities, and providing a safety program; Stripping approximately 0.4 m of topsoil from within the public drop off footprint, road ways, and any other area to be disturbed during construction; Hauling stripped material to the appropriate stockpile; Hauling of fill material from on-site stockpiles to construct the elevated bin wall structure; Supply and installation of MSE retaining wall to construct the elevated bin wall; Supply and installation of inbound and outbound scales, and scale kiosk; Supply and installation of temporary office trailer unit (Phase 1 PDO development option); Supply and installation of a permanent office / reuseit / household hazardous waste building (Final PDO development option); Supply and installation of asphalt surface roads and elevated bin wall surfaces; Supply and installation of gravel perimeter haul road; Excavation and construction of a sediment control pond; Supply and installation of oil/water separator structure; Supply and installation of stormwater infrastructure; and Topsoiling and seeding of permanent ditches, embankment slopes, all disturbed areas, and seeding of subsoil and topsoil stockpiles to aid in erosion control on-site.
