The project is for access road maintenance on State Game Lands #203, Marshall Township, Allegheny County. The scope of work generally includes grubbing, grading, drainage maintenance, road subbase maintenance, road resurfacing, and related work on approximately 6,525 linear feet of access roadway. Bidders must be experienced and fully capable to perform the type and extent of work required on this project. After bids are opened, the agency reserves the right to request references for projects completed within the previous three years that are similar in size and scope. Reference information to be provided includes project name, description, final cost, and the reference’s name, company, address, and phone number. Bidders should visit the project site to view and determine existing site conditions and constraints such as site access, road conditions, topography, proximity of utilities, existing infrastructure or structures, vegetation, and other conditions in the work area. Contact the designated agency representative for detailed directions to the site. There is an optional site inspection tour. Contractors may also view the road at any time but should not plan to drive it as it is a grass road. The road tour may be cancelled at any time. Bids must be submitted electronically using the specified system by the opening date and time. A bid guarantee or bond is not required. The agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technical defects, and to accept or reject any part of the bid as deemed in the best interests of the agency. Award is to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. A purchase order is generated at the time of award, and no work is authorized until the vendor is in receipt of the purchase order. All vendors must have a registered Vendor Number to conduct business and receive payment from the agency.
