The scope is limited to a self-supported new ceiling system to cover existing and minimize disruption to hospital operation from faling tiles. Demolition is limited with al existing ceiling mounted systems and components to be abandoned in place and/or extended and replaced with new attached to new ceiling without removal or interaction with the existing ceiling tile. A new long-span LGMF structure tight to existing ceiling wil span the space to support new drop ACT system. Trims and window surrounds to be typical integrated ACT system trims and is not intended to be airtight. Above new ACT system mounted to LGMF is a +-4x4 net to trap any existing failing tiles before hitting new ACT. Generaly, only the electrical and safety system devices shal be replaced and relocated to new ceiling with new 2x4 LED lighting and new smoke devices tied in to the existing building systems. (4) existing HVAC gri ls shal be extended via new duct work to new ceiling with new gri ls. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in General Building Construction; Sub Bidders must be certified by DCAMM in identified sub bid categories. Tewksbury Hospital reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any defects, informalities, and minor irregularities in proposals as deemed to be in the best interest of the Tewksbury Hospital.
