Site work and paving for a road / highway in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The work consists of furnishing all necessary labor, materials, tools, and equipment to complete traffic signal improvements at East Street and Livingston Street in Tewksbury, MA. The work includes modifying, furnishing, and installing traffic control signal equipment on new and existing posts and supports, including signal housings, pedestrian housings, pedestrian push buttons with signs and saddles, controller and cabinet modifications, wire and cables, equipment grounding and bonding, electrical connections, retroreflective backplates, temporary traffic control, and providing all incidental materials necessary for operating and controlling the traffic control signals as shown on the plans and specified. Includes all else necessary for the successful completion of the work. Final quantities will be determined by the Engineer based on bid pricing received. The Owner does not guarantee a specific quantity to be purchased or items to be used. Each bid must be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or security bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid. Bidders may not withdraw their bids for a period of 45 days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays, after the date of bid opening. Complete instructions for filing bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders. Minimum wage rates as determined by the Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development apply to this project. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as Traffic Signals is required. The bidding and award of this contract will be pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30, 39M. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids if deemed to be in its best interest. Should a Bidder find discrepancies in, or omissions from the contract documents, or should a Bidder have questions as to the interpretation of the contract documents, the Bidder shall submit such in writing to Andrew Stack, Town Engineer, Tewksbury Dept. of Public Works, 999 Whipple Road, Tewksbury, MA 01876 or via email to astack@tewksbury-ma.gov by 2:00 pm on March 10, 2026. Location of Project The Project site is located at the intersection of East Street and Livingston Street in Tewksbury, Massachusetts and the intersection of Andover Street and Ames Pond Drive/Radcliff Road in Tewksbury, Massachusetts.
