The scope of work involves the construction of state-of-the-art, functional, and technologically advanced learning spaces suitable for the delivery of nationally accredited programs. THE PROJECT CONSISTS OF THE ALTERATION, RENOVATION AND REPAIR OF THE EXISTING FIRST FLOOR AT THE HEALTH SCIENCES BUILDING. THE BUILDING IS LOCATED AT THE OCEAN COUNTY COLLEGE CAMPUS. THE ALTERATION INCLUDES SELECTIVE DEMOLITION OF EXISTING PARTITIONS TO CREATE NEW PROGRAM DEDICATED TO DENTAL (6,546 SF) & RADIOGRAPHY (3,014 SF). THE EXISTING COMMON AREA ELEMENTS INCLUDING TOILET ROOMS, EGRESS STAIRS CORES, ELEVATORS AND MECHANICAL SYSTEM RISERS ARE EXISTING TO REMAIN. THE DENTAL PROGRAM WILL BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND A NEW ENTRANCE DOOR AT THE EAST SIDE OF THE BUILDING WILL BE PART OF THE SCOPE OR WORK. THE EXISTING BUILDING WAS CONSTRUCTED IN 2017 ( UNDER THE 2015 INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE), IS OF TYPE "IIB" CONSTRUCTION, AND FULLY SPRINKLERED.
