The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting bids for the mill and overlay of approximately 1.80 miles of local streets for the City of East Grand Rapids. Inquiries Deadline Date & Time (local) 2/10/2026, 2 PM The project scope includes the mill and overlay of approximately 1.80 miles of local streets in the City of East Grand Rapids to include milling of existing HMA, adjusting structures/valves, spot curb replacement, select ADA ramp reconstruction, storm sewer improvements, sump/roof storm tie-ins, and placing a new surface course of HMA. Additionally, the project includes the removal of existing road materials; installation of storm underdrain; and subbase, base, and asphalt replacement on Indian Trail in the City of East Grand Rapids. The right is reserved by the City of East Grand Rapids to accept any proposal, reject any or all proposals, and to waive informalities in bidding when it is deemed to be in the interest of the City of East Grand Rapids. Prior to possession by CONTRACTOR: OWNER will replace. b. After possession by CONTRACTOR: OWNER will replace and CONTRACTOR shall remove and reinstall at no cost to OWNER. B. Coordination with Owners of Existing Utilities: 1. Notify in writing prior to starting the Work: a. Kind: All that may have utilities in the Work area. b. Starting the Work: After Owners have had time to locate utilities.
