Culvert Replacement Projects Culvert #1 East Prescott Street and North Main Street over ReedBrook Culvert #2 Acton Road over Unnamed Stream Contractor Qualification Highway Division Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, Bridge - Culverts, for the project with an estimated value of $1,541,910.00 will be required. General bids shall be addressed to Paul Starratt, P.E., Town Engineer, Department of Public Works, 28 North Street, Westford, Massachusetts 01886, and endorsed "Bid for Culvert Replacement Projects - East Prescott Street and North Main Street over ReedBrook & Acton Road over Unnamed Stream". The Work consists of the demolition and replacement of two existing corrugated metal pipe culverts at the two separate locations as depicted on the contract drawings. Culvert #1 is located where East Prescott Street becomes North Main Street, and Culvert #2 is located on Acton Road just south of Greenwood Road and the town line. Both culverts will be replaced with new precast concrete box culverts, associated wing walls, and all other work incidental thereto, in accordance with the specifications and contract drawings. Additional drawings showing details in accordance with which the Work is to be done may be furnished by addendum from time to time during the bidding period by the Owner or its Architect/Engineer and shall then become a part of the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, services, materials, equipment, plant, machinery, apparatus, appliances, tools, supplies, and all other things necessary to do all work required for the completion of each item of the Work and as herein specified. The Work to be done and paid for under any item shall not be limited to the exact extent mentioned or described but shall include all incidental work necessary or customarily done for the completion of that item. The CONTRACTOR further agrees to achieve Substantial Completion by October 1, 2026 and fully complete the project by November 15, 2026.
