Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Madison, Wisconsin. Working plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
In general, the work consists of construction or reconstruction of asphalt roads, access drives and parking lots, gravel trails, and culverts at six DNR properties in Northwest Wisconsin. The project addresses the replacement and repair of existing roads, access drives, parking lots, trails, and culverts that have reached the end of their life, causing safety hazards, equipment damage, and deterrence to public use. The additional new facilities will address existing safety hazards. The scope of work at each site includes: Interstate State Park: Replacing pavement on the main road, spot locations with rock and marsh removals under the road, installation of milled asphalt as base course, addressing drainage issues at parking areas, and culvert replacements. - Osceola Fish Hatchery: Milling and replacing HMA pavement in upland areas, installing roadbed material and new HMA pavement along the main raceway, installing subgrade improvements with subsurface drainage, roadbed material, and HMA pavement in the lowland loading zone, and adding extra turning and staging as indicated in the plans. - Willow River State Park: Constructing an additional entrance lane, a raised curb and gutter median, and installing an additional shelter for staff to check/sell park passes. - Red Cedar River Trail: Replacing timber cross culverts with standard HDPE culverts, addressing a segment of trail with culvert crossing and regular washouts, and removing a timber structure. - Chippewa River State Trail: Pulverizing and relaying existing trail surface, adding 3 limestone shavings, relocating approximately 5,800 LF of trail, adding signing to alert trail users of new trail route, and adding drainage culverts as needed.- Lake Wissota State Park: Installing an ADA compliant trail adjacent to the main park road. Question Deadline 02/20/2026: No verbal explanation or instructions will be given in regard to the meaning of the drawings or specifications during the bid period. Bidders shall bring inadequacies, omissions or conflicts to the Architect/Engineer's attention at least ten (10) days before MEP bidding commences. Tender has been cancelled. When the project will be re-tendered is undetermined at this time.
