Each bid must contain a bond, cashiers or certified check, or certified share draft in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, including alternates, in a separate attached envelope. Bid security shall be made payable to Sidney Community School District. Performance Bond and Labor, Material and Payment Bond will be required by the successful bidder in the full amount of the contract. Should the successful bidder fail or neglect to furnish satisfactory Performance / Payment Bonds, refuse to enter into a contract on the basis of the bid, or fail to meet the requirements of this Notice and the specifications regulating the award, the bidder's security may be retained as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of forty-five (45) calendar days after the date and hour set for receiving bids. The School District may make the contract award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting the Contract Documents. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interests of the School District. Project Description: Work includes, but is not limited to: 1. Work under this Contract provides for all work required for siding, and reroofing work associated with the Siding and Partial Roof Modification project, as shown in the Bidding Documents. 2. Base Bid: a. Install new NFPA rated water storage tank on the exterior of the building. b. Install new fire suppression piping in the stage area of the building. c. Install new fire pump to serve building. d. Install underground water mains between building and storage tank. e. Install new electrical service and associated wiring. Bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall make a written request to the Architect, to reach him/her at least three working days prior to the date for receipt of bids.
