Renovation of a military facility in Rancho Cordova, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
**As of February 9,2026, project was awarded to Paine Construction Inc , awarded amount is $8,713.20.** The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, bonds, licenses, insurance, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees to remove a damaged fence and post as needed; supply and install matching fence panel and posts set in concrete; secure hardware; clean and legally dispose of debris; ensure code compliance and final inspection. All work shall be in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements of this Invitation for Bid (IFB). Bid submissions shall be emailed to PWC@cm d.ca.gov. Subject line must include the IFB No. 125200, Perimeter Fence Repair and Replacement and Contractor Business Name. Project Overview & Purpose: The purpose of this service is to enable the California Military Department (CM D) to maintain safe, secure, and functional facilities in support of its broader mission. Specifically, the Contractor will be responsible for the professional replacement of a damaged section of fence, approximately ten (10) feet in length, and any associated fence posts as necessary, along the southern boundary of the Joint Forces Headquarters (JFHQ) Campus. The work includes removal of damaged fencing materials, installation of new fencing materials that match the existing fence style, secure installation of fence posts, and complete site cleanup. By fulfilling these objectives, the Contractor will help CM D restore the integrity, functionality, security, and aesthetic appearance of the facility perimeter. All work must adhere to C MD policies, standards, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations and will be evaluated against defined performance criteria (see Section 3). 2.1 What the Contractor WILL Do (Tasks/Scope): 2.1.1 Removal of Damaged Materials 2.1.1.1 Remove the damaged fence panel, approximately ten (10) feet in length, ensuring minimal disruption to surrounding areas. 2.1.1.2 Remove damaged fence posts if deemed necessary, including associated fasteners and concrete footings, if present. 2.1.2 Installation of New Materials 2.1.2.1 Supply and install a new fence panel that matches the existing fence style, height, and material. 2.1.2.2 Supply and install new fence posts as required to ensure structural integrity and durability. 2.1.2.3 Set fence posts in concrete for stability, unless otherwise approved by the Contract Manager. 2.1.2.4 Secure new fence panels to new and/or existing fence posts using appropriate hardware. 2.1.3 Site Clean-Up 2.1.3.1 Remove and clear all debris generated by the work, including old fencing materials and excess soil. 2.1.3.2 Dispose of all removed materials in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. 2.1.4 Quality Assurance 2.1.4.1 Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes, safety standards, and regulations. 2.1.4.2 Conduct a final inspection to verify proper installation, alignment, stability, and workmanship. 2.2 What the Contractor WILL NOT Do (Exclusions): 2.2.1 Work beyond the replacement of the damaged fence section identified where it states Fence Damage Location. 2.2.2 Installation, repair, or modification of gates, access control systems, lighting, or electrical components. 2.2.3 Underground utility relocation or repair. 2.2.4 Any fence replacement or upgrades outside the defined scope unless formally amended. Prospective bidders MUST attend the mandatory pre-bid job walk at Joint Force Headquarters Readiness Center. Arrive at least 15 minutes early and bring business cards. Failure to arrive at the designated meeting location by the scheduled start time may result in disqualification from submitting a bid. Bidders who do not remain for the entire pre-bid job walk may be considered non-responsive and may not be allowed to bid on this project. The prime contractor MUST possess a type C-13 - Fencing Contractor license. All questions regarding this IFB MUST be submitted to the designated contact.
