As of February 19, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on February 24, 2026. The work consists of the demolition and removal of two homes in Putnam County, designated as Location 1 and Location 2. This includes the complete removal and disposal of the residential structures and obstructive trees. Contractors are required to comply with the Illinois Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Law, and must transport all friable and nonfriable asbestos containing material, as identified in the asbestos inspection report, to an approved disposal site. The County Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process. Detailed specifications, bid instructions, and the asbestos report are available upon request from the county clerk. The contractor shall transport all friable asbestos containing material (RACM) and nonfriable asbestos containing material (ACM), according to the asbestos inspection report, to an approved disposal site.
