The Hume R-VIII School District is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the removal and replacement of nine existing windows at the Hume Elementary School facility. Interested parties should request a bid package containing specifications and proposal requirements. An on-site visit is required before a proposal is accepted. Proof of licensing and insurance is also required with the proposal. Late proposals will not be accepted. The district reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding process. General Scope Requirements 1. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment to complete this scope of work. 2. Double pane, insulated, storefront, vent windows with aluminum framing should be installed. (Similar to existing windows that are being replaced). 3. All caulking is the responsibility of the contractor. 4. Contractor will remove all adhesives, caulking residue, and labels from glass and aluminum surfaces. 5. Contractor is responsible for all cutting and patching associated with their scope of work in a neat manner with clean straight cuts. 6. Contractor shall include final cleaning, repair, detailing, and patching as needed. 7. Remove and dispose of all existing frames/windows/panels. 8. Openings should be removed and reinstalled on the same day. No temporary enclosures are intended. 9. Install (9) new storefront assemblies (window elevations to match existing window elevations) 10.Provide standard color options for selection by the district for frame and panel finish.
