The Hamblen County Board of Education is seeking bids for sinkhole remediation at the Hamblen County Bus Garage. Specifications are available at the HCBOE Central Office Room 106, 210 E. Morris Blvd, Morristown TN 37813. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the type of bid clearly marked on the outside. Faxes or emails will not be accepted. HCBOE reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids. The Hamblen County Board of Education requests bids be submitted as specified herein . This bid is being requested to select the company (s) in such a manner as to provide for open and free competition and comparability . The Hamblen County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids and / or negotiate with the low Bidder when it is in the best interest of the school system . SCOPE OF WORK The base Bid shall include the delivery and installation of all materials necessary to complete the project . The bid shall include all associated costs to furnish , deliver and install the required equipment . Any changes to the bid specifications will be issued through addendum . The approved contractor shall be held liable for any property damage by its equipment and / or employees ompletion of cap grouting and pressure grouting . Drilling to the bedrock surface to cap grout the soil -bedrock interface to prevent future migration of the soil overburden . The dropout area should be filled to match the surrounding grades immediately prior to cap grouting . Filling of the area with a flowable fill and clay base . Grouting an area of 30 feet by 30 feet . Initial grouting plan should consist of seven (7) evenly spaced inclusion locations around the perimeter of the dropout . Base bid should include 280 linear feet of casing and 85 cubic yards of grout . Bid should also include unit rates for casing and grout as an add / deduct . A representative from ETS will be on site full time during grouting procedures to verify grout quantities and monitor the process . Scheduling will be coordinated by the winning contractor . Cost for the oversight by the engineer of record is not part of the bid and will be paid by the school district separately . Base bid of 70 cubic yards of flowable fill and clay base installed .
