This project consists of 4-inch milling of asphalt pavement, asphalt concrete pavement removal, spot curb and gutter replacement, concrete sidewalk removal and replacement, new water service extension, installation of gate valves on existing hydrant leads, aggregate base, asphalt paving, and any other required miscellaneous work for the proposed resurfacing of Main Avenue between Dakota Street and Burlington Street within the City of Lake Norden SD. Prospective bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder. Bidding documents may be downloaded online at the designated website. Resident South Dakota contractors who intend, in good faith, to bid upon this project may obtain a paper set of these documents free of charge. Non-resident contractors may receive these documents upon payment of $100.00, none of which is refundable. Bids shall be submitted on the prescribed form. The submittal of the bid constitutes an incontrovertible representation by the bidder that they have examined the bidding documents, visited the site, are familiar with local conditions, and have correlated their observations with the requirements of the bidding documents. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security as specified. The successful bidder shall begin the work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the work within the contract time. The City of Lake Norden reserves the right to retain the bid security of the three lowest bidders for up to 30 days after the bid opening. The City of Lake Norden reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any parts thereof.
