Sealed bids are requested for Chiller Replacement at Abramson School, 5552 Read Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70127, Project Number ITB25-FAC-0083. All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the Base Bid and all Alternates, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or the Orleans Parish School Board Bid Bond Form from a surety licensed in Louisiana, and complying with all financial and rating requirements specified. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each for 100% of the contract amount, from a qualified surety. Bids will only be accepted from contractors licensed for Mechanical Work (Statewide) under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2163. Bidders are also required to comply with LA R.S. 38:2212 (A)(1)(a) and all other applicable statutes. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is not required but is highly encouraged, and bidders must state on the Bid Form that they are familiar with the project site. No bid may be withdrawn for thirty (30) days after receipt, except as provided by law. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. The instructions to bidders found in the Bid Documents are incorporated by reference and must be followed. All provisions and requirements in the advertisement and on the bid form are not considered informalities and will not be waived by any public entity. The contract will not obligate the Owner until fully executed.
