Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Ransom Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Sealed proposals are requested for the Spring Drive Structure Replacement Project in Ransom Township. Bids must be submitted on forms furnished by the County, and only registered bidders will receive addenda. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held, and the project is subject to the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bids must be accompanied by a certified/cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent of the bid, payable to Lackawanna County. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope containing the bid, bid bond, and other required forms, addressed to the Lackawanna County Controller's Office, and plainly marked with the project name. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or waive informalities in the bidding. Bidders must execute and deliver the agreement if their bid is accepted within sixty days after bid opening. Question Deadline 02/12/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be received in writing or via internet email by the Architect/Engineer. Questions received less than seven (7) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
