Site work for a water / sewer project in Suring, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project consists of installing a transmission watermain from Municipal Well #1 to the Village of Suring water distribution system and several improvements to Municipal Well #3. The transmission watermain will be installed using directional drilling and open cut construction methods and will include watermain testing manholes, all associated appurtenances, and street reconstruction including crushed aggregate base course, asphalt pavement, and restoration of all disturbed areas. Improvements to Municipal Well #3 include installation of a new LP fueled stand by power generator, automatic transfer switch, updated SCADA inputs, new water valves, and water filter media replacement. Specifically, the work includes 3,500 LF 10-Inch HDPE SDR-11 Watermain, 230 LF 10-Inch Class 52 Ductile Iron Watermain, 3 each 6-Foot Diameter Watermain Testing Manhole (complete), 125 CY Crushed Aggregate Base Course, 50 TON Asphaltic Pavement, 1 LS Turf Restoration of All Disturbed Areas, 1 LS Generator and Automatic Transfer Switch, 1 LS Filter Media Replacement, and 1 LS SCADA Programming Upgrades. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract; otherwise the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the opening. Minimum wages shall be in accordance with Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates. The project anticipates use of Wisconsin DNR Safe Drinking Water Loan Program funding. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, including Minority-owned Business Enterprises, Women's Business Enterprises, and Small Businesses in Rural Areas are encouraged to submit bid proposals. A good faith effort to achieve a combined minimum goal of 15% participation for MBE/WBE utilization is required. The Contractor shall conform to the "Use of American Iron and Steel" provision. Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
