Site work for a civil project in Fairfield, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The work to be performed consists of the removal of an existing portion of concrete canal and replacing the portion with a 36" PVC pipe, installing steel casing for a portion of the PVC pipe, and all other work shown in the Contract documents. Bidders must furnish all labor, materials, transportation, and services necessary for the construction and completion of the project. Each bid must be submitted in accordance with the contract documents. A bid guarantee of 10% of the bid price is required, and the successful bidder must furnish a payment bond and a performance bond for 100% of the total bid price. The selected contractor must pay prevailing wages as determined by the Department of Industrial Relations and post the wage determination at each job site. Each bidder must possess a valid Class A Contractor's license and a current City business license. The contractor must perform with their own organization work amounting to not less than fifty percent (50%) of the remainder obtained by subtracting specialty items from the total original value. Bids must be received at the designated location and time. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the DIR. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding.
