Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Huntington, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The work consists of repair or removal/replacement of existing deteriorated drainage structures; installation of new sidewalks, driveway aprons and curb replacement as necessary; improvements to pedestrian facilities, including curb ramp replacement to meet PROWAG and MUTCD compliance; full depth pavement repair; pavement milling and resurfacing; new pavement markings; and traffic signal upgrades. Bids must be submitted in a separate sealed envelope with the contract name clearly marked. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond not less than five percent (5%) of the total base bid, payable to the Suffolk County Comptroller. Eligible bidders must have registered on the Suffolk County Department of Public Works Purchasing Unit website. Bids will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in accordance with county code, with optional local preference applicable. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the New York State Department of Labor under Labor Law Section 220-i, and provide a valid certificate of registration with their bid submission. Applications for registration are not accepted as a substitute. Contractors must ensure their subcontractors are also registered before commencing work. Any questions regarding this project shall be directed to Alexander J. Prego, P.E., Chief Engineer and sent to: HSWBids@suffolkcountyny.gov Question Deadline 01/30/2026 No oral interpretation of the Drawings, Specifications or other Contract Documents will be given to any bidder. Every request for such interpretation shall be addressed in writing to the Commissioner of Public Works and must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date set for the opening of the bids.
