The project consists of replacement of approximately 1,250 lineal feet of 8 inch, and 200 lineal feet of 6 inch ductile iron pipe water main and appurtenances including gate valves, hydrants, tapping sleeves and valves, water services, and incidental work including paving and concrete walk replacement. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid Bond in an amount not less than 10 percent of the Bid total, payable to the Owner in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders are subject to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania "Steel Products Procurement Act" - Act No. 3 of 1978 as amended, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act of 1961, P.L. 987, No. 442), and applicable provisions of the Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the successful bid amount. All contractors are required to comply with federal and state non-discrimination laws. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof and to waive any defects or irregularities in the best interest of the Owner.
