As of March 19, 2026, project was awarded to River City Paving, awarded amount is $378,516.40. The City of Maquoketa is requesting sealed competitive quotes for mill & fill on multiple city streets. Each quote shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Certified Share Draft or Cashier's Check in a separate envelope in an amount equal to five (5%) of the total amount of the bid as security that if awarded a contract, the bidder will enter into a contract at the prices quoted and furnish the required performance and payment bonds and certificates of insurance. The Certified Check, Certified Share Draft or Cashier's Check shall be drawn on a bank or Credit Union in Iowa or a bank or Credit Union chartered under the laws of the United States of America and payable to the City of Maquoketa, Iowa. Mill 2.5" deep along curb line to 0" at 8' out using an 8' milling machine. Vacuum milled area. The City will have 4 dump trucks to haul away the millings. b. Tac and pave scratch coat 1" thick. c. Pave 2nd lift 2" thick. d. Both rubber tired and smooth drum rollers must be used for proper compaction. e. The street will have 1 lane open during the milling operations. f. The run-outs will be milled clear across the street at 20' long g. Traffic control and signage will be provided by contractor. (must meet MUTCD specifications) RESET STRUCTURES a. Remove and salvage castings to City Public Works yard. b. Pave street. c. Cut pavement and set castings to grade. Use old castings if possible. d. Pour concrete collar around casting. e.
