The City of Yakima is inviting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms interested in providing professional engineering design and surveying (as needed) services for the following FHWA funded Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program (CMAQ) project: 2026 Yakima Alley Paving. Work will include the PS&E for the project that will include grading, placing and compacting crushed surfacing, paving HMA for about 4300 LF of alleys as well as some new concrete sidewalk and concrete alley approaches. These improvements are intended to be designed and constructed in 2026. Questions regarding the RFQ should be directed to Dana Kallevig by email or at (509) 575-6048. This project has a Zero percent FSBE goal. The contract for this work shall be on a cost-plus fixed fee basis. The city of Yakima reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm(s) for any subsequent phases (R/W, CN) associated with this project. SOQs shall be limited to ten (10) pages front and back and shall include the following information: key personnel, familiarity with City of Yakima and/or other similar municipalities, familiarity with WSDOT standards & federally funded projects, firm experience with PS&E, experience with Federally funded projects, project approach, ability to meet schedule, and past performance/references. Statements of Qualifications will be evaluated on a competitive basis using the above criteria. The City will score the received Statements of Qualifications and conduct interviews.
