Renovation of an educational facility in Vestal, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project is for a qualified contractor to create a financial technology center for the School of Management. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, demolishing MEP systems and interior partitions in Suite 120 to create a Financial Technology Room. The new room will include new finishes and furniture, mechanical and electrical upgrades, fire protection re-work, new exterior glazing, and structural support along the exterior wall. The exterior finish will be a new metal panel. A new single-use toilet room will be added adjacent to the existing bathrooms to support the increased occupant load of the first floor. Offices along the south facade will receive new finishes and lighting/diffuser upgrades. The work covered is specifically for Plumbing and Fire Protection as outlined in the drawings. Prospective bidders must purchase a bid set from nyplanroom.com to be considered responsible bidders. All official notifications, addenda, and other bidding documents will be offered only through the designated website. The project includes specified goals for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) participation. CR#: 2130775 Contract Term: 438 Calendar Days Deadline for questions: February 6, 2026 at 12:00 pm. A. This section includes the following types of cold-formed metal framing: 1. Exterior non-load-bearing wall framing. 2. Manufacturer's accessories. 1. Electrical contractor work shall include but is not limited to the following: a. Fire alarm system - General 1) Address and correct any troubles or alarms through duration of the project. 2) Ensuring fire alarm system is operational at the end of each work day and free of all troubles and/or alarms. b. Fire alarm system - Modifications 1) Remove discontinued initiation devices and notification appliances. 2) Remove portion of 1st and 2nd floor SLC loop within the project area. 3) Maintain portion of 1st and 2nd floor SLC loop outside project area. 4) Remove portion of 1st NAC within the project area. 5) Maintain portion of 1st floor NAC outside project area. 6) Provide additional cards as required to existing FACP. 7) Provide new SLC and NAC wiring in project area. 8) Provide additional remote power supplies and batteries as required. 9) Provide new initiation devices and notification appliances. 10) Provide control/monitor modules as required 11) Relocate magnetic door holders as indicated. 12) Update programing of fire alarm control panel.
